This book came together organically from an opportunity to house sit in San Francisco for 8 days in the beginning of April 2022. My only intention was to skate, shoot photos, and draw. No research went in to planning how my time would be spent otherwise for the 8 days in the city. I had no expectations upon leaving the front door of where the city might take me.
My wife mentioned to me once that while you travel or go somewhere new, make sure you listen to music that you are unfamiliar with so that new memories can be created along with it. This will help one remember the new moments more deeply, as often the songs you love to listen to already have deep meaningful memories attached to them.
What you are experiencing is a visual exploration of San Francisco documented using an iPhone 11 and Sony A6000, while listening to these 55 songs on the playlist 55 OWEMO SF. Events in my life dealing with trusting my intuitions & feeling after years of repressing them, thus leading to a deeper honest look at myself. This is my visual and audio meditation while pondering who I am at forty-one.
